Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are currently seeking to add a professional prep cook to our growing team. Strong candidates must be ready to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment, while retaining high standards of organization, cleanliness and efficiency in order to meet the standards of the restaurant and ensure customer satisfaction.Responsibilities· Responsible for preparation of all restaurant foods, meeting specifications and guaranteeing appropriate attention to detail is demonstrated.· Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.· Maintain solid knowledge of all food products, sanitation standards & basic culinary techniques.· Display ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.· Keep station clean and organized· Manage workload as it relates to you and the schedule.· Communicate clearly with chefs on product concerns and outages.· Display ability to read and execute core recipes· Follows company policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.· Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.· Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.· Acquire and maintain a Tennessee food handler permit within 14 days of on-boarding.· Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.· Ability to speak, read and understand basic cooking directionsWork Environment:· Works outdoors/indoors· Works in warm/cold climates· Works in high places· Works on wet surfaces· Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals· Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic· Must be able to move up to 55 lbs.LocationNashville, TennesseeAdditional LocationsJob TypeFull timeJob AreaHospitality & RetailThe salary range for this role is:$14.20 - $20.43This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
