Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the steel industry, is seeking a Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. As a Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Melt Shop operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor Location: Beaumont, Texas Pay Range: What's the Job? Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for melt shop equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Lead a team of skilled maintenance mechanics to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime Oversee maintenance and repair of overhead cranes, scrap handling equipment, and HVAC systems Implement and prioritize preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance Investigate equipment failures, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions promptly What's Needed? Formal training in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with 8-10 years of heavy mechanical maintenance experience Experience supervising a team of maintenance technicians or millwrights Knowledge of melt shop equipment, systems, and safety procedures Union experience is a significant advantage Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills What's in it for me?
