POSITION SUMMARY: Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Senior Analyst - Business Systems. The Senior Analyst - Business Systems is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external LifePoint customers and supporting the clinical departments by planning, supporting, and implementing information systems for clinical areas. The Senior Analyst - Business Systems acts as a liaison between facility clinical departments and IS for software issues and/or optimization. This position provides the knowledge and skills to meet clinical staff and/or hospital/clinic needs and performs in accordance with LifePoint Health standards and policies. The Senior Analyst - Business Systems is a highly trained individual who must resolve problems under critical time constraints, operates under minimal supervision, and identifies opportunities for business process improvements using information technologies.Provides leadership, input and guidance to the functional development, implementation, and related meaningful use of Oracle/Cerner Electronic Health Records (EHR) in support of the organizational strategic direction within Lifepoint Healthcare venues. Provides clinical, informatics, and experience-based knowledge to the team while assuring inclusion of others within the Cerner Clinical team as appropriate to meet objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyze and present various clinical application requirements, utilization, and trend across Lifepoint markets to drive adoption and reduce costs. Participates in coordinating any application changes, including maintenance/patches, software changes. Works with customers to resolve break/fix issues and needs for the clinical EHR. Maintains a role to plan, deploy, and remediate technology initiatives and patient outcomes with clinicians and the appropriate Health Support Center (HSC) and facility stakeholders. Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) associated with clinical processes, improvements, and solutions deployments within the clinical departments to imbed operational technology into clinician workflow, improving productivity, clinical decision making, training, and patient outcomes. Primarily responsible for the Cerner solutions clinical components in the areas of Behavioral Health and Regulatory associated build items. Supports the repeatable model(s) of deployment for all types, including but not limited to, Joint Venture (JV), Post-Acute, Acute, etc. Maintain strong role and work collaboratively in guiding the development and deployment of materials and process design associated with area(s) of responsibility, including training programs, sample ideal process flows, templates, governance models, etc. Direct extensive knowledge and build within clinical tools for existing and new sites. Support the quality initiatives throughout the organization and recommend system solutions or aids to enhance the technology solutions for improved patient outcomes. Work directly with Cerner Oracle team in the design, prioritization, and adoption of on-going improvements to clinical solutions. Collaborate to create cross functional relationships with peers and within facilities to provide guidance in the adoption of clinical documentation systems and other clinical technologies, use of data, with the goal to achieve positive patient outcomes with LifePoint Health. QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS: Qualifications:Exhibit a solid understanding and knowledge of Cerner Clinical build tools and workflows.. Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors requiring advanced analysis, verbal and written communication skills, and collaboration. Education:Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Nursing, Social Work or other healthcare background preferred. Knowledge:Advanced knowledge of Cerner clinical build tools, workflows and system functionality is required (i.e. iView, Orders, Dynamic Documentation, DCPTools, Bedrock, Powerform, ESH, Rules, MPages, Tasks, etc). Position requires in-depth analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Microsoft Office applications knowledge. Familiarity with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements associated with accessing confidential information. Skills: Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs. Technical Computer Skills: Demonstrate use of intermediate computer operations (Cerner Millennium, basic programming, relational databases, operating systems, and Microsoft Office) and intermediate software packages. Complex Communication -- Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others. Varied Business Problems -- Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents, and practices. Project Management Planning / Organization -- Handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegation, project oversight, and resource allocation. This position can expect overnight travel by land and/or air according to the requirements below: Normal business hours are: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. However, schedules may vary by business necessity.
