Job SummaryThe Dispatch Representative works in the Dispatch Center to ensure timely product delivery while assisting customers with ordering quality concrete and building materials. The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.Compensation$31.00-$38.75 per hour|DOEResponsibilitiesObtains orders and changes to existing orders from customers and sales representativesEnters orders and printed tickets into the systemCoordinates special jobs, service, and schedulingCoordinates with outside trucking subcontractors and by radio with drivers, service, and sales representativesAssists with resolution of customer delivery issues and customer complaintsDetermine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific productsMaintain proficiency and accuracy in data entry of customer ordersReview orders in the system for proper mix design, travel times, and correct job start times; ensure customer-specific needs are metManage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the dispatch teamCommunicate with customers to provide up to date information regarding the company’s ability to meet delivery timesMeet customer delivery demands and company with the guidelines of Federal Hours of Service RegulationsDispatch construction materials for multiple facilities; coordination of orders, trucks, and driversPerform departmental clerical tasks including preparation of department reports and the ability to maintain dispatch/order desk records and dataEducationHigh school diploma/GEDRequirements/QualificationsSafety Sensitive PositionKnowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to interact positively with a broad range of customers, vendors, and contractorsProficient in Microsoft Office and dispatch systemsAttention to detail and able to multi-taskAble to adjust to a variable scheduleMandatory overtime as requiredAttendance and punctuality a mustProblem solving ability Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated and Safety Sensitive positions require on-going drug and alcohol testing.
