Job SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, planning, organizing, and coordinating maintenance employee activities for the Oro Grande, California cement manufacturing facility. The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.Compensation$80,000 - $105,000 annuallyResponsibilities Oversee maintenance of mechanical equipment including bucket elevators, unloaders, conveyor belts, and cement dome reclamation systemAssign job tasks to hourly workforceDiagnose and troubleshoot problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints and repair manualsSAP responsibilities, purchase order creation, release and tracking, and maintenance of work ordersMaintain critical parts inventory, part ordering, and inventory controlAssist in planning, fabrication, and completion of improvements and projectsEnsure high quality of service to all customers, reliable operation of all plant equipment and the efficient use of labor and facilities to optimize the cost of the operationsEnsure compliance with all federal, state, local labor, safety, and environmental regulationsDevelop an operating budget; track operating costs and look for ways to improve costs without sacrificing safety or serviceDevelop and implement successful training programs for personnelParticipate in the hiring process and identify talent for openingsMonitor and approve timekeeping for assigned employeesAssist / Develop / Manage – Annual Kiln Reline Budget(s) and Scheduled Finish Mill Outage Budget(s)Support / Implement – Predictive Technology Activities and resulting CountermeasuresAssign tasks / Manage – On-site contractor crewsParticipate in Weekend On-call Rotation ProgramSupport Plant Wide Safety Projects and InitiativesDevelop reliable third-party contractor, vendor, and supplier opportunitiesSupport / Manage / Update existing mechanical PM ProgramAdminister as necessary Progressive Disciplinary ProgramEducationHigh school diploma/GED.Requirements/QualificationsPhysical requirements: working in confined spaces, welding, cutting, ability to lift over 50 lbs., climb up to elevations of 100 ft.Ability to operate mobile equipment (forklift, manlift, front-end loader, boom truck, crane)Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteSolid mechanical/control system skills and the ability to train othersAble to work effectively both individually and as part of a teamStrong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skillsPreferred:Working knowledge of SAP Production.Experience working with a union contract.Understanding of California state labor laws related to wage and hour.Experience working in a manufacturing or cement facility. Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
