Contracts Lead

Our client, an industry leader in the oil/gas & chemicals sector, is seeking a Contracts Lead to join their team at their plant in Gregory, TX. As a Contracts Lead, you will be part of the procurement and legal support department supporting site operations and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Contracts Lead Location: Gregory, TX 78359 Pay Range: $39/HR + Benefits Contract Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract (No C2C) Key Job Functions: Lead negotiations of contract pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers. Manage full procure-to-pay (PtP) processes in compliance with procurement standards. Maintain and optimize contract portfolio, including scope, pricing, and amendments. Monitor supplier performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure contractual obligations are met. Identify and execute opportunities for business value within the contract portfolio. Develop strong internal and external relationships to support business needs. Share market intelligence and contribute to strategic procurement planning. Provide process improvements in risk management and procurement controls. Qualifications: 5-10 years of procurement or contracts management experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Strong knowledge of contract development, negotiation, and supplier relationship management. Proficiency in procure-to-pay systems and total cost analysis. Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
