Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience. • Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months. • Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months Requirements: • Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekends Required Skills/Experience: Charge and Preceptor Experience, Circulate for C-section, LDRP, Antepartum/Intrapartum/Postpartum/Couplet Care proven, Previous Charge Experience Required Skills/Experience: Triage, Proficient in sterile vaginal exams, Baby Friendly hospital experience highly, Community Hospital Experience, Teaching Hospital Experience Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults Unit Details: Number of Bed 10 Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy, Maternal Substance Use Disorder, Gestational Diabetes, Limited or no prenatal care Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler. 7 days maximum time off 2 references from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission Proof of identification required Certifications: • BLS (Basic Life Support) • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) • Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring) • STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway.
