Labor & Delivery Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required from last 12 months. • Must have at least 12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience with 9 months within the past 12 months. • 3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Any special scheduling requests must be made with Manager upon arrival at facility. Required Skills/Experience: Charge Experience. Patient Experience requirements: daily rounding on all patients, Safety rounding. Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment. Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil). Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies. Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds : LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite. Patient Ratios : 1:1 active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1:3, newborns 1:1 until stable, NICU 1:3 intermediate care, but 2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if there are Equipment Used on Unit: CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps. Technology Used on Unit: Documentation system: Meditech and CPN Shift & Scheduling: Rotating weekend and holidays, PRN’s to complete.
