Mechanical Technician 2

Our client, a leader in Automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting manufacturing and testing operations. Job Title: Mechanical Technician 2 Location: Warren, MI Pay Range: $22-$24 per hour Shift: Training on 1st shift, 7AM – 3:30PM (6-8 weeks) After training will move to 3rd shift  3rd shift position 11PM – 7:30AM Onsite, no remote What's the Job? Modify, test, and repair machinery and equipment under the guidance of engineering staff or scientists. Prepare parts sketches, write work orders, and coordinate with outside contractors for parts fabrication. Draft detailed drawings or sketches for project completion or parts fabrication. Review project instructions and blueprints to determine test specifications, procedures, and objectives. Inspect drawings for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making corrections as needed. What's Needed? Associate's degree in engineering technology or a related field. 2-4 years of relevant experience in mechanical testing, modification, or repair. Basic skills in making sketches, engineering drawings, and performing calculations. Knowledge of engineering science and technology applications.
