Production Quality Auditor | The Shyft Group (SV) | Charlotte, MI (SV)Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $0.00 - 18.80What you’ll do:SUMMARY:The Production Quality Auditor position is responsible for identifying and reporting vehicle defects through the daily inspection of vehicles associated with the company’s various product lines.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform and complete pre-inspections, test drives (where applicable), and quality audits of finished products in accordance with process documentation.• Validate all critical and safety items as required by the build book.• Document, communicate, and lead activities to resolve issues needing corrective action.• Work with departments such as Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to resolve quality issues.• Solve complex problems with minimal assistance.• Perform minor repairs on completed vehicles after inspection if applicable; or notify correct individual department to complete.• Review all Deviations, Quality Alerts, and Stop Shipments.• Communicate and document quality issues and inform the appropriate associate and Quality Technician.• Document and perform containment activities as directed.• Assist in the review and updating of the build book.• Assist in the review and updating of Work Instructions and Build Photos.• Help maintain a tracking log of all repetitive issues.• Support 5S protocols and maintain a clean and safe work area.What you need to be successful:QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge of quality processes preferred.• Post-secondary industry-related coursework or ASQ certification preferred.• Basic computer skills required.• Strong and consistent attention to detail.• Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task.• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.• Professional behavior in a team setting.Able to:• Read and understand engineering documents.• Solve complex problems with minimal assistance.• Obtain and maintain a CDL, if required.• Work overtime on short notice.Willing to: • Learn and rotate within all assembly areas.• Improve self/area/company, including pursuing additional training as needed.• Develop a working knowledge of company systems.
