Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 22 months of Intensive Care Unit experience. • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Previous Employment Requirements: • Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more • Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location Required Skills/Experience: • Proficient in IV start • Experience with telemetry • Competency with ventilators Specialized Experience in: • Multisystem Organ Failure • Respiratory Failure • COVID • Sepsis • Post-Cardiac Arrest • Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) • Liver Failure • Renal Failure Required Credentials: • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. • References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: • Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia • Externalized IV Pumps for COVID+ Patients Types of Patients on Unit:  Adults Equipment Used on Unit: Special Equipment Knowledge: • NxStage CRRT • Alaris IV Pump • GE Cardiac Monitor • GE Ventilator • Boom Lift in Each Patient Room Unit/Facility Details: 24 beds Shift & Scheduling: Every Other Weekend Floating Requirements: Will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.
