This position is responsible for delivering accurate financial insights, developing robust models, and partnering with departments across the resort to ensure operational and capital efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a deep understanding of financial planning and analysis within a dynamic, seasonal business environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Planning & Analysis Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planningConduct scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of external factors such as weather, visitor trends, and economic shiftsProvide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-makingCompile monthly financial MD&A, and weekly financial snapshots and presentations for our resort operations team.Revenue & Cost Management Analyze revenue streams (e.g., lift tickets, season passes, ski school, dining, lodging) to identify trends and growth opportunitiesConduct pricing analysis and recommend strategies to optimize revenue and profitabilityMonitor operating expenses and cost of goods sold, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvementsFinancial Reporting & Data Integrity Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards for senior leadershipEnsure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial data with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsCapital Investment Analysis Evaluate proposed capital projects through feasibility studies and ROI analysisAssist in prioritizing capital expenditures to enhance guest experience and maximize returnsCross-Functional Collaboration Partner with departments such as operations, marketing, and guest services to align financial goals with business objectivesAct as a financial advisor, offering analytical support and performance improvement recommendationsQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)3+ years of experience in financial analysis, ideally in hospitality, tourism, or leisureProficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar toolsStrong analytical and financial modeling skillsKnowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standardsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsDetail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracyPassion for skiing or outdoor recreationDeer Valley is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
