This includes work on PLCs, circuit boards, low-voltage systems, DC and AC drive systems, and electrically-driven conveyor belts. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily startup procedures and periodic inspections of lifts and conveyors in both winter and summerDiagnose, maintain, and repair electrical systems, PLCs, circuit boards, DC and AC drive systems and control panels on aerial lifts and conveyorsAssist in in-service and after-hours mechanical and electrical repairsTroubleshoot and service low-voltage control systems and motor drivesParticipate in safety and technical training, particularly in electrical safety and control systemsMaintain clean, organized workspaces and properly store tools and test equipmentParticipate in daily morning briefings with the maintenance teamEnsure timely and accurate completion of records, including maintenance logs, repair documentation, and fault reportsConduct routine mechanical and electrical inspections and system diagnosticsCollaborate with other departments within Mountain Operations and the Resort as neededSupport seasonal projects and assist in the installation or upgrading of lift electronics and conveyor componentsBe willing to help out with any mechanical work as needed.QUALIFICATIONS: At least 18 years oldProvide personal hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic toolsExperience with PLCs, relay logic, circuit board troubleshooting, DC and AC drive systems and low-voltage systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsComfortable working with conveyor systems, including electrical controls and drive motorsAbility to climb lift terminal stairs and tower laddersAbility to lift and position components weighing 50 pounds or more in mountainous terrainStrong skiing ability and comfort navigating resort terrainAbility to work in extreme weather and at heightsAccepts direction and instruction readily and works well with othersMaintains a positive and guest-focused attitude at all timesBASIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF: Lift operation, theory, and maintenance practicesTroubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, AC/DC circuits, and power suppliesProficient with DMMs and other electrical testing equipmentFamiliar with PLC systems, including programming basics and diagnostics (highly preferred)Working knowledge of conveyor belt electrical systemsMechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic system knowledgeSafe use of snowmobiles and resort maintenance equipmentUnderstanding of ANSI B77.1 regulations and safety protocolsAbility to follow technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsDATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Year RoundPAY RATE: DOEDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer
