RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all fleet vehicles in an expedient fashion.Maintain gas and diesel enginesTroubleshoot and repair hydraulics/electrical componentsTrain and mentor Level I and II technicians, giving advice and pointers to less experienced staffAssist Level IV technicians as neededPerform moderate fabrication projects and custom modificationsImprovise and pioneer efficient methods for service and repairsAssist with some administrative duties; finding parts, writing P.O.'s, filing records.Document all parts usage and all work done on work ordersFollow all shop safety practices and dress code.Maintain clean tools and work areaManage motor pool and have accountability for damage on a daily basis.Perform other tasks as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of related experienceHigh school education, formal automotive training, or equivalentAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications a plusSpecialty training such as hydraulics and/or electronicsMust have a valid driver's license with clean driving recordMust be able to lift heavy items and work in adverse conditionsHave an ample tool inventory: full hand tools, full air tools, diagnostic, etc.DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Year RoundPAY RATE: Pay: $30.00 per hourDeer Valley is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
