Fleet Mechanic Team Lead

We are proud to offer an extensive and iconic portfolio of highly recognizable, sustainably sourced, and conveniently packaged branded beverages distributed across more than 150,000 retail outlets. Reporting Location: Milpitas, CAPay:  $49.20/ hour 1st Shift: Monday through Friday (some Saturdays as needed)Benefits: Medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, company discounts, paid vacation, and much more!    Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Mechanical Expert / TeacherTeach Diagnostic platforms to all mechanicsAssist in major component repairs and replacementsWill have the final call in the use of 3rd party repair.Ensure our mechanics work on all vehicle types including forklifts and scrubbersMonitor work order reports daily to ensure productivity measures are achievedMonitor and minimize parts inventory stockSupports contact for dealers, when trucks are sent outMinimize downtimeSupport Fleet Mechanic StaffingCompliance ResponsibilitiesUpholding Fleet Shop StandardsServe as the Fleet/DOT subject matter expertExecute Preventive Maintenance auditsExpert and trainer with our fleet database systemP&L Adherence to budgetsInspect preventive maintenance workEnsure execution of the Tire processNational Vendor Execution in the fieldMinimize/right size parts inventoriesMinimizing 3rd Party Repairs for all vehicle typesEliminating Short Term RentalsMinimize tows with improved workmanshipImproving Customer Service throughVehicle readiness, reducing downtimeBreakdown reductionMinimizing vehicle out of service timeOther projects as assigned Qualifications: Key qualifications include:Must possess a CDL class B with air brake endorsement Currently a Lead Tech or equivalentProven success in the LT roleExpert with Trimble and following all processesHigh level knowledge of all diagnostic systemsExpert fleet mechanic with diesel, propaneAbility to teach and hold accountable through quality coachingExperience with safety practicesAbility to influence performance and changeExperience working with vendorsCustomer focused attitude in a dynamic environmentProficient with computers and windows-based software.Ability to travel to different sitesExcellent written, communication and organizational skills
