This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic initiatives aligned with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Zero Loss Culture principles. The Process Engineer ensures operational excellence, capacity optimization, and equipment/system reliability by leading capability development, coaching, and technical execution. This position is ideal for a driven professional with a strong foundation in engineering, continuous improvement methodologies, and a passion for fostering cultural transformation on the production floor.WHAT YOU'LL DOTechnical Leadership & Performance ImprovementLead initiatives to eliminate process and equipment losses through data analysis and root cause problem-solving.Improve equipment reliability and performance through TPM strategies and base condition restoration.Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce variability.Capability Building & CoachingCoach teams on Daily Management Systems (DMS), including Centerlining (CL), First Pass Quality (FPQ), and Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL).Train and mentor on tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).Build and standardize technical work practices to raise skill levels and ensure consistent performance.Loss Elimination & Continuous ImprovementOwn and maintain loss trees, capability glide paths, and system KPIs to drive continuous improvement.Lead rapid changeover improvements to increase flexibility and reduce planned downtime.Collaborate across Maintenance, Food Safety & Quality (FSQ), and Operations for integrated improvement.Capital & Innovation ProjectsProvide technical leadership in capital planning, commercialization, and new equipment commissioning.Transfer R&D initiatives to operations, ensuring technical capability and quality control readiness.Data Systems & AnalysisMaintain data integrity and apply statistical tools to evaluate performance and identify opportunities.Implement and support digital systems to visualize and respond to key performance deviations.WHAT YOU’LL NEEDEducation/Certification:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)Experience:5–7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated success in driving performance improvements and loss eliminationStrong technical leadership and cross-functional coaching experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturingSix Sigma Green or Black Belt certificationExpertise in SPC and TPM/IWS deploymentFamiliarity with centerlining, rapid changeovers, and quality systemsKnowledge (Level):Project management – ExpertLean/TPM and IWS methodologies – ExpertMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database tools) – JourneyTechnical training practices – ExpertSkills & Abilities:Strategic thinker with excellent execution skillsInfluential leader with strong communication and collaboration skillsCritical thinker with advanced problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage competing priorities and work independentlyPrepare and deliver technical documents and presentations to stakeholdersTravel by airplane and drive to plant locationsWork effectively in a high-performance, customer-focused business environmentAct in accordance with GSF’s Values and CreedWHAT YOU’LL GETPeople First: At Golden State Foods, we’re not just a company; we’re a dynamic community where your talents are celebrated, and your ambitions are nurtured.Values Driven: Our core values drive everything we do, creating a culture of innovation, integrity, and excellence.People Development: We are committed to investing in our employees to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.Philanthropy & Sustainability: We give back through community engagement and global sustainability efforts.Extensive Benefits: Our benefits support the whole person with offerings that promote physical, emotional, and financial wellness.
