Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 12 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience. • Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >80 miles from facility to be submitted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. RN- Float Pool - Bed Management - Required Previous Employment Requirements: Must note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date. Required Skills/Experience: Strong Med Surg experience - minimum 2 years Cardiac experience, able to start IVs, dressing changes, and central line care Experience with min 1/4 patient ratios Experience with MS and Tele/Stepdown patients Equipment Used on Unit: Acu-dose for Narcotic dispensing, scanning of medication Shift & Scheduling: Rotating Shifts. Every other weekend and holiday. Floating Requirements: To all MS and cardiac tele/stepdown units as well as overflow areas (ED and PACU) to care for patients until a bed is available: 2SE – Cardiac Telemetry; post cath patients, titrate intravenous cardiac medications. - 24 beds, 1/4 ratio 3SE – Ortho/Joint; administer meds, assess, monitor and care for patients, - 22 beds, 1/4-5 ratio 4SE – Observation unit; patients with chest pains, abdominal pains, hysterectomies, knee scopes, appy’s, etc. Infusion patients that need blood or antibiotics twice a day. High patient turnover with average 2 admits and 10 discharges in 12 hours. Currently being used as our COVID unit. - 24 beds, 1/5 ratio 4NW – General Surgical/Medical; post surgical care, administration of meds, monitoring, and wound care. - 29 beds, 1/5 ratio 4NE – Stroke/Neuro; Assess, plan & implement care and treatment. - 21 beds; 1/5 ratio 7E – Oncology/Medical; Assess, plan & implement care and treatment. 18 beds; 1/5 ratio 1NW – ICU/Medical/Surgical/Observation beds; located near the ED an newly opened medical adaptable unit - 14 beds; acuity adaptable but anticipate a 1/5 ratio unless step down patients 7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025.
