In this critical role, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel and support across a wide range of business functions, including but not limited to sales, operations, marketing, and finance across both our Security Technology electronic security integration business and our portfolio of product manufacturing and software development businesses (3xLogic, Pacom, Sonitrol, Instantel). You will report to the General Counsel – North America for Securitas Technology and will be a key partner to business leaders, advising on strategic initiatives and mitigating legal risks.Key Responsibilities:Contract Negotiation & Drafting Negotiate and draft a variety of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, subcontractor agreements, SaaS agreements, EULAs/Terms of Use, pilot/beta testing agreements, and dealer agreementsLeverage AI to develop and implement contract templates and playbooks to streamline processes and ensure consistencyWork closely with a team of paralegal contract administrators, potentially in a supervisory capacityLitigation and DisputesInvestigate and assist with discovery in both pre-litigation and litigated matters related to security events, auto accidents, and construction disputes. Give recommendations to senior leadership on settlement value of cases.  Data Privacy & CybersecurityAdvise on data privacy and cybersecurity matters, including compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.)Negotiate and draft data processing agreements and other agreements related to data security and privacyTraining & CommunicationsDevelop and deliver training programs to internal teams on legal and compliance topics.Enforce compliance with internal legal policies and proceduresReview marketing materials for legal and regulatory complianceProcess ImprovementContinuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance legal and operational efficiency and to reduce legal riskMiscellaneousAssist with additional legal tasks as assigned by General Counsel – North America, or as requested by the business  Qualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to and in good standing with the bar of at least one stateFour to seven years of relevant experience in-house or in a firm, with a strong emphasis on contractsSignificant experience in negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and creativelyWillingness to learn and leverage technology, including generative AI software, to increase efficiencyExcellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:Experience in the electronic security industry or related security or technology industriesLitigation experienceProficiency with generative AI contract softwareSkilled in Smartsheet software, particularly with respect to designing/maintaining SmartsheetComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Critical Illness InsuranceCompany Paid Short Term and Long-Term Disability401K with 60% Match up to 6% of salaryPaid vacation, holiday, and sick timeTuition ReimbursementExceptional career advancement opportunitiesWe are a nationwide provider of security solutions, and an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
