You’ll also have access to:Career development with an international company where you can grow the career you dream of.Employees can qualify for free medical coverage in our Health Investment Plan (HIP) PPO medical plan in the next calendar yearAn excellent retirement savings plan with high employer contributionTuition reimbursement, the Freedom 2 Save student debt program and FreeU education benefit - an affordable and convenient path to getting a bachelor’s degree.A company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries around the world and named one of the most admired companies in the world by Fortune.A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists.The Opportunity This is an onsite opportunity at our Columbus, OH location.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Understand business strategies and capabilities for Manufacturing environments and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)Contribute to development of roadmaps containing sequencing of IT solutions working towards the achievement of the business strategies.Work on project delivery for business constituents by partnering with IT partners or System integratorsWork with the business and IT Corporate functions to develop project business cases Main ResponsibilitiesPlay a key role on the Manufacturing Execution Strategy / AN Global MES Program, Technical Debt Remediation Program and plant Infrastructure projects.Willing and able to perform a variety of work and to function as a project manager when requiredAct as a subject matter expert in MES and industrial automation OT systems.Collaborate with BTS Delivery and external vendors in the delivery of IT solutions per budget, timeline and service levels.Work on recipe changes and deployment following life sciences validation methodologies in collaboration with business and delivery partnersWork with SMEs to identify critical vs. nice-to-have functionality to promote re-use of existing solutions (application rationalization) and process alignmentFacilitate communications flow between IT and Business.  Understand the internal and external customer bases and provide a balance between business and IT centric advocacy.Ensure good project governance & execution, partnering with Corporate IT function, with monthly reporting ensuring justification of deviations and providing feedback to functional stakeholders.Document business processes and requirements in support of roadmap development and project initiation. Secure firm knowledge transfer of project drivers, business processes, and business requirements to delivery teams at project initiationWork with BRM leadership and business SMEs to establish priorities on IT initiatives.Initiate and manage Project Requests in support of roadmaps and individual work effortsActively identify and document business process improvement and tangible benefits in support of project requests EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRINGRequiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or another discipline relevant for the healthcare industry or equivalent experience.7-8 years of IT and Manufacturing/Engineering experience in large or midsized multinational Health Care or Consumer Goods organization.Experience with MES POMs application in system deployment, recipe design and project planningPreviously worked with large scale MES programs using Poms MES systems or other MES systemsWorking experience of validation processes for software delivery in life sciences  arena. PreferredDeep experience in production support or deployment of manufacturing and or process control systemsBroad knowledge in Supply Chain business processes and technologiesPrevious experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems is preferredWorking knowledge of the following systems is desired (POMS, POMSNET SAP, Infinity QS Proficient SPC, Rockwell Factory Talk, Emerson)Business Process Mapping and requirements definition experienceGood communication, logical thinking, decision making and problem-solving abilitiesStrong ability to collaborate, influence and build consensus.Experience with GxP validationDirect experience within a Nutrition Manufacturing site is preferred Apply Now      Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:  Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
