Seasonal Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Position Overview: PEAK HOLIDAY PREMIUM: An additional $1.00/hr from November 24th through December 21st. The purpose of the position is to provide repair and preventative maintenance to the conveyor systems, hardware, and other controls and tools. This is a secondary position and you will support the Facilities team as business need demands. ?⌚Anticipated Start date for this role is the week of 11/10/2025.  Position Details: What You"ll Do:Provide repair and preventative maintenance services for the following but not limited to: Sorter, cameras, hardware, auto baggers, conveyor systems, balers and associated controlsFacility related maintenance activities including, but not limited to general lighting, facility inspections and audits, air compressor systems and emergency or temporary overhead door repairsRepairs to carts, stands lifts and material handling equipment used in the daily sorting and transporting of products within the facility. This does not include major repairs or preventative maintenance to powered forkliftsAssist with controls support and troubleshooting. Identify electrical issues (Replace standard components - ex: Photo eyes, MDRs, Proxes, Encoders, PLCs emergency stops, conveyor belts)Complete preventative maintenance scheduleMaintain spare parts list ad inventoryMaintain material handling system on site once system is installedAssist in controls debugTimely completion of all reports and logs to include time reports and travel expensesMaintain consistent positive and enthusiastic attitudeTimely communication of all concerns and issues with the Facilities ManagerPursue professional training and certificationsAble to mentor other maintenance staffMotivate and inspire the Duluth and subcontractor team. Help our subcontractors to be successful and hold them to our standardsDeliver projects on time, on or under budget and with high quality/Improve the process with written templates, spreadsheet tools, outstanding lessons learned, etc.Any and all job duties as assignedWhat We"re Looking For:High School DiplomaEquivalent work experience would be considered3-5 years of experienceSkilled in mechanical, electrical pneumatic and PLC troubleshooting and repairEnergetic, ambitious and hard workingMaintain a positive, can-do attitudeComputer literate, experience with MS office productsPrevious electrical, conveying, automation and fulfillment center experience desiredA solid understanding of application of contemporary industrial control systems a plusGood verbal and written communication skillsExtremely well organized, great foresight and planning abilitiesExperience in high-fulfillment centers a plusDemonstrated skills in customer serviceMaterial handling, or packing background requiredEnvironmental Factors:Standing up to 90% of working hoursContinuous arm, hand and wrist movementReaching, twisting and bendingSubject to noise from machineryAbility to perform work in non-temperature controlled environmentWork in temperatures ranging from 65-95 degrees (exceptions to this range do occur)The ability to walk long distancesThe ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the dayThe ability to stand for long periods of timeThe ability to remain in a stationary position (i.e. sanding) for prolonged periods of timeMoving about to accomplish tasks in various work areasAdjusting or moving objects over 20 lbs. in all directions  Benefit Offerings: 40% employee merchandise discount, 401K program with company match, employee stock purchase plan. Compensation: $21.50/hour  Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, federal, state and local minimum wage requirements, etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
