Behavioral Health Technician at Garcia HouseSalary Range: $24.04 - $28.85/hour, based on relevant years of experienceLocation: Fort Collins, Colorado at the Garcia HouseStatus: PRN, On call as neededEmployees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights ($7), weekends and holidays. Role Overview: Responsible for providing support and direct care for clients in our residential program. The role will work with and advocate for diverse and often marginalized populations daily to provide interventions, support, and resources, and to ensure that the appropriate services are offered in an inclusive and equitable manner. Essential Duties: Provide effective milieu management to support a safe and therapeutic environment.Conduct brief counseling interventions to address immediate client needs.Facilitate psychoeducation and activity groups as part of the therapeutic programming.Participate in treatment planning, contributing clinical insights and recommendations.Collaborate extensively with an interdisciplinary team, including Registered Nurses, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Mental Health Therapists, and Psychologists.Required:Bachelor’s degree in health/human services requiredAt least one year of experience working in behavioral health setting or programs requiredLicenses and Certifications:Substance Use Disorder training program involvement required upon hire.Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record requiredCPR and First Aid certifications requiredHighly Desired:Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in Colorado preferredTrauma Informed Care experience preferredBilingual/bi-cultural preferred Residential (Garcia House) - a specialty co-occurring residential Circle Program providing comprehensive ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 residential treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
