In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to prepare and analyze tissue samples and support the delivery of accurate diagnoses to patients. If you are passionate about the field of histotechnology and seeking a challenging and rewarding career, we want to hear from you!Histotechnician Responsibilities & DutiesPrepare and stain tissue samples using techniques such as H&E, immunohistochemistry, and special stainingAnalyze tissue samples using microscopy and other diagnostic toolsMaintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentationEnsure compliance with laboratory procedures, quality control standards, and regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate and complete records of tissue preparation, analysis, and resultsHistotechnician Qualifications & SkillsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or related fieldMinimum of 24 credit hours of biology and chemistry, with at least six being in chemistryExperience in a clinical or research laboratory settingProficiency in advanced staining techniques such as immunohistochemistryStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)Prefer 2 years of experience in histotechnology laboratory settingStrong understanding of histotechnology techniques, procedures, and regulationsExcellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamScheduled Weekly Hours:40Work Shift:3rd Shift (United States of America)Job Category:Laboratory OperationsCompany:Pinkus Dermatopathology Lab PCSonic Healthcare USA is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace for all employees.
