Job Type Full-time Description As an Area Sales Director at Erie Home, you’ll be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for driving sales performance, developing high-performing leaders, and executing strategic growth initiatives across multiple regions. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you’ll lead Regional Sales Managers and their teams to deliver exceptional results and world-class customer experiences. Reports to: Vice President of Sales Compensation: $200,000–$300,000 annually (40% base / 60% performance bonus)Work Environment: Hybrid with 30%-50% travel required Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor Regional Sales Managers to build high-performing teams through structured coaching, accountability, and empowerment. Promote a performance-driven culture that emphasizes excellence, professional development, and continuous improvement. Drive revenue growth by setting strategic sales goals, monitoring KPIs, and executing proven selling fundamentals across multiple regions. Achieve and exceed sales quotas through disciplined pipeline management, effective territory planning, and data-driven execution. Maintain strong field presence by visiting regional offices, engaging with sales teams, and leading by example—including running select in-home sales appointments each month. Recruit, develop, and retain top talent by partnering with leadership and recruiting teams to strengthen the organization’s leadership bench and succession planning. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, lending, and customer service to optimize lead conversion, project delivery, and customer satisfaction. Align field performance with corporate strategy to ensure consistent execution of initiatives, sales process adherence, and operational efficiency. Work with marketing and field marketing leadership to maximize ROI on campaigns, improve funnel conversion rates, and ensure leads align with manpower and capacity goals. Partner with recruiting and workforce planning to maintain defined manpower quotas across regions, ensuring sales coverage and efficiency. Analyze sales metrics and market trends to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and implement action plans that improve performance. Present actionable insights to senior sales leadership to support informed decisions and sustained quota achievement on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases. Champion Erie Home’s values and safety culture, modeling accountability, professionalism, and best-in-class customer experience. Execute additional projects, initiatives, and duties as assigned. Requirements Ability to travel to the Toledo Corporate Office frequently. 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing regional or multi-location sales teams. Proven success in in-home or one-call close sales environments, consistently achieving and exceeding revenue goals. Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and retain high-performing sales leaders through accountability, mentorship, and performance management. Strong strategic planning and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels. Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration, partnering effectively with marketing, operations, and customer service. Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned area.
