OPERATIONS MANAGER – Foodservice Distribution- Night ShiftOn-site | Hyattsville, MDFull-time | Nights & Partial Weekend | On-SiteCompensation: $90,000–$100,000 +10% bonusAbout the RoleA leading regional foodservice distribution company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee overnight warehouse and distribution operations at its multi-temperature facility in Hyattsville, MD.This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. You’ll manage end-to-end warehouse activities—ensuring smooth shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and food safety compliance—while driving continuous improvement across all operational metrics.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage third-shift warehouse operations, ensuring on-time, accurate order fulfillment across ambient, refrigerated, and frozen zonesMaintain compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, FSMA) and warehouse best practices.Monitor and improve KPIs in areas of safety, productivity, labor efficiency, and quality control.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including transportation, procurement, sales, HR, and accounting.Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.Support organizational growth through strong team development and process optimization.QualificationsRequired3+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse or distribution operations.Experience in foodservice or wholesale distribution, including multi-temperature environments.In-depth understanding of inventory systems, quality control, food safety regulations, and labor management.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in 24/7 operations.PreferredExperience launching new facilities or building operational teams from the ground up.Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and warehouse automation tools.Demonstrated success managing operations through growth and transition phases.EducationRequired: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).Preferred: Advanced degree or professional certifications (Six Sigma, PMP, CPIM).Why Join UsThis is a critical leadership opportunity for a driven operations professional ready to make a direct impact on performance and culture.
