Job DescriptionThe Chief Manager is responsible for planning, administering, and directing all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, including Aramark and client financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies and client.Job ResponsibilitiesExtensive Engineering ExperienceProven work history in engineering roles (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Marine, etc.)Hands-on technical expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting systems and equipment.Leadership & Team Management5-7 years of experience in supervisory or managerial roles.Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams or departments.Project ManagementOversight of major maintenance, renovation, or construction projects.Budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with vendors and contractors.Preventive & Predictive Maintenance ProgramsDesigning and implementing maintenance systems to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.Compliance & Safety OversightFamiliarity with local and international safety standards, regulations, and environmental compliance.Ensuring operations meet ISO, OSHA, or other relevant certifications.Technical Reporting & DocumentationExperience preparing technical reports, inspection logs, budget forecasts, and maintenance records.Vendor & Stakeholder CommunicationExperience working with procurement teams, external suppliers, and internal leadership.Industry-Specific KnowledgeFor marine: Knowledge of engine room operations, SOLAS, STCW, Class requirements.For hospitality: Experience maintaining HVAC, elevators, lighting, and other hotel systems.For manufacturing: Knowledge of plant utilities, automation systems, and lean manufacturing.QualificationsStrong Leadership & Decision-Making SkillsAbility to lead a team under pressure and make informed technical decisions.Excellent Problem-Solving AbilitiesRapid diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.Effective CommunicationClear communication with both technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.Organizational & Planning SkillsAbility to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and allocate resources efficiently.Budget ManagementControl over maintenance and capital expenditure budgets.Adaptability & Continuous LearningWillingness to adopt new technologies and practices.Attention to DetailEspecially important when overseeing safety-critical systems and compliance.Integrity & AccountabilityTrusted with critical infrastructure and team performance.Technological ProficiencyFamiliarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), AutoCAD, SCADA, etc.EducationAbout AramarkOur MissionRooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.At Aramark, we believe that every employee should enjoy equal employment opportunity and be free to participate in all aspects of the company.
