Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment. Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 10 months of Intensive Care Unit experience. • Experience with Meditech is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a California license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. • 6 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process. Additional Details: All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years Required Skills/Experience: Charge Experience. Clinician needs to hold more than MICU experience, needs additional experience in other specialized ICUs, prefer Surgical, Trauma, Shock or Neuro ICU. Skills: IV therapy Arterial line management Blood Product Administration Central line care/management PICC line management Starting and maintaining IVs Respiratory/Thoracic Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal Assist with management of BiPAP Assist with management of CPAP Care of Ventilated Patient High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) Suctioning (ETT, NT) Ventilator Management Genitourinary/Renal Chronic/Acute Renal failure Medications Continuous IV sedation Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring Titrate Cardiac drips Titrate Vasoactive drips Neurological CVA/Acute Stroke management Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun Gastrointestinal GI surgery Professional Topics and Skills Infection Prevention Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Endocrine/Metabolic IV insulin protocols. Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. Cert: ACLS, BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only. Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: Free Parking. Shift & Scheduling: Weekend req: As needed. Floating Requirements: Will this traveler need to float between like units: Yes (Tele). Though not always necessary, Travelers must agree to float between Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro. Travelers’ refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
