If you share our passion for creating an airline people love, we want to hear from you.  Role Summary: The ADA Program Manager provides extensive ADA subject matter expertise and understanding of federal and statuary regulations and compliance to provide guidance and recommendations to Senior Leadership, HR business partners, recruiters, managers and other stakeholders as a single process owner. This is a highly collaborative role, reliant on building successful relationships with stakeholders across all organizations including Absence Management, The Disability Office, Ethics and Compliance, our leave/ADA TPA, HRBPs, legal, Workers Compensation, and Operations to maintain compliance and drive change in a continually evolving landscape. As an individual contributor, this role defines long-term strategy for implementing standardized policies and practices, ensuring program compliance with federal and state regulations, and overseeing companywide training and educating and exercises considerable latitude and initiative to solve complex problems and escalation including testifying on behalf of the company. Key Duties: Define and implement long-term strategy of the company’s ADA program with 12-month horizon and oversees vendor performance and compliance.Provider compliance guidance and continual training to stakeholders including Absence Management, The Disability Office, HRBPs Labor Relations, Leaders, and Talent Acquisition.Exercise considerable latitude and initiative to solve complex ADA escalations ensuring compliance with company standards.Analyze potential compliance failures and recommend and implement corrections and modifies processes and procedures as needed.Leverage accommodation expertise to anticipate and prepare for emerging regulatory changes that may impact company business practices and implements policy changes as needed.Manage overall coordination of reasonable accommodations under the ADA: manage and lead discussions with the employee and their leader, maintain records, identification and implementation of accommodations, monitor accommodation notification/documentation.Represent the company as a subject matter expert in response to ADA-related legal issues including depositions, grievances, and charges from governing bodies.Collaborate with the Disability Office policy updates and reviews, initiatives and efforts including participation on committees or conducting training as requested.Review, update and maintain job analysis for Alaska and Horizon, including scheduled audits and management of our vendor.Providers guidance and oversight to Absence Management regarding with return to work, fitness for duty and reassignment as an accommodation.Influence across company and several levels up to executive leadership, including working directly with Labor Relations leaders to roll out initiatives and implement processes. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills: Required7 years of experience with leave of absence and disability programs, or related area.Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.Expertise with FMLA, ADA, ADA AAA, PWFA, and EEOC rules and guidelines.Experience administering ADA compliance in an interactive discussion with employees.Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to think and write analytically.Strong negotiating skills and the ability to resolve conflict.Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedures, including collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provisions.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and web-based vendor systems and PeopleSoft HRIS.A positive and professional demeanor, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong presentation and training skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum age of 18.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.PreferredProfessional certifications (e.g., CLMS, PHR, ARM or workers' compensation). Salary Range: $103,600 - $155,400 / year Salary Details: Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees.
