Apply today! Facility: East Cooper Medical CenterLocation: Mount Pleasant, SCDepartment: RehabPosition Type: PRN Position SummaryThe Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) is responsible for evaluating and providing direct care to patients referred by a physician for physical therapy services, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The LPT establishes individualized plans of care and treatment goals, supervises Physical Therapist Assistants (LPTAs) and PT Aides, and ensures high standards of care through skilled use of therapeutic equipment and techniques. This role includes regular communication with attending physicians, thorough documentation of patient evaluations and treatments, and adherence to age-appropriate care practices across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The LPT also contributes to staff development by providing in-services and mentorship as needed. QualificationsTo perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to meet each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. RequiredGraduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical TherapyCurrent license from the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (SCPTA) Current BLS certification PreferredOne year of professional experience is required to supervise interning LPT studentsStrong communication, organizational, and documentation skillsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
