Civil Project Engineer-Land Development - KBJWPosition SummaryThe role of the Project Engineer is to execute and finalize engineering designs for residential, commercial and public land development projects. Project Engineer should have experience in site/civil design, AutoCAD, Civil3D and other appropriate design software. Project Engineer should work well in a team environment.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepares plans, specifications, reports, permits, and designs for project.Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.Understanding permit requirements and processes.Coordinates with design team including staff from multiple locations and/or disciplinesCoordinates with Clients and jurisdictions to obtain project approvalsAssist in developing probable construction cost estimates for projects.Assists in preparing project budgets.Mentoring and training staff engineers or other entry level employees.Performs other duties as assignedJob QualificationsBS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience3-5 years experience in Civil EngineeringPE License prefferedProficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3DProficient with other engineering software required in area of expertiseWork requirementsMay require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds Ability to walk construction job sites Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.
