Traveling Mechanical Superintendent

Job Description:Talon is seeking a qualified Mechanical Piping Superintendent that has a minimum of 10 years’ experience in welded fuel piping systems installation and maintenance. This includes commercial fuels, jet fuel, bulk oil, and terminal work; this includes both above ground and underground installations. Candidates must be able to manage, coordinate, and control all aspects of work sites including safety, crewmembers, equipment, inspections, and work schedules. Ideal candidate will have experience installing up to 16?? diameter piping- in excavated and above ground conditions.  This job requires travel.Responsibilities / Skills include:  Proficiency in layout / grade; maintain quality standards per contract documentsExcellent communication skills with ability to document daily work activity, knowledge of jobsite safety (OSHA and EM385)Competency in excavation, welding, lifting, quality control duties, and the proper commissioning of fuel systems.Capable of identifying existing and potential hazards related to safety or environmental concerns, be able to apply company procedures and policies to work situationsAbility to manage, plan, coordinate, and control all assigned project activities within budget guidelinesAbility to read, understand, and adhere to plans and specifications including P&ID’s.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years’ experience in welded fuel piping system installations and maintenanceMinimum 30-hour OSHA certificateMust be able to travel to different worksitesPhysical Requirements:  Work a regular 10 hour shift outside in various temperaturesBe able to carry, lift, or position material up to 50 lbs.Bend, lay, and kneel occasionallyPosition/reach overhead occasionallyClimb ladders, work from scaffolds or lifts to access workAppropriate PPE will be provided; however, employees must provide their own steel toe work boots.Compensation / Benefits:Competitive Pay based on experiencePer Diem when away from homeHealth Insurance – Medical, Dental, VisionShort Term DisabilityPaid vacation time off and holidays401k Employment contingent on background check, driving record, and drug screening.Talon Industries, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. About Us:Talon Industries, Inc is a specialty construction company founded in North Texas and has been in business since 1997.
