Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience. • 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted. • Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Work Settings, Med/Surg, Respiratory, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, and Peripheral Line Care/Management. Preferred Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, and Tracheostomy care/management*. Special Requests: RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends. No block scheduling. Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/ 2 weekends per month Floating Requirements: Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Cook is a MANDITORY FLOAT FACILITY, all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion. Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles. Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift. If your clinician refuses to float, they will be subject to cancelation. There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency. If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used. 5 days maximum time off.
