Second Shift Security Officer - Sterling, ILPer Mar Security Services is seeking a security officer for a 2nd shift opening (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm), at Sterling Steel in Sterling, IL. This is in an industrial setting.  Work days are Wednesday- Saturday. 32 hours a week at $16 per hour.A valid driver's license is required.PERC card is preferred but not required. Be dependable, have excellent customer service skills, have great oral and written communication skills, and have a positive attitude!!Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations- Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts- Report any facility issues- Request emergency personnel for high risk situations- Some basic computer knowledge required.Qualifications:18 years of age or olderAbility to handle physical workloadStrong attention to detailMust possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
