As a manager trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience leading personnel to include recruiting safety and compliance food safety measures, training, and other projects in a friendly and supportive learning environment. Our trainees assist operations management across Warehouse, Transportation, and Facilities. The Operations Manager Trainee will assist in managing to an established operations budget and plans for future growth and assisting in the implementation of changes as needed to accommodate business needs. Functions as a team member within the department and organization as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for learning DOT & OSHA safety programs and systems; operations business processes, systems & tools; performance management; dispatch & routing; fleet maintenance.Responsible for learning and assisting with vendor/supplier negotiations for packaging, shrink wrap, pallet parts, and other necessary items.Collaborates with all frontline managers to learn the day-to-day business operations (i.e. Warehouse Manager, Transportation Manager, Inventory Manager, Logistics Manager, District Sales Managers)Works with safety to continue to create a safety conscious cultureCompletes the assigned Perform curriculum and all other assigned trainingsPerforms other related duties as assigned.#CM-ALLQualification:• Associates/2-Year Technical or 6+ months of operations experience within warehouse or distribution industryCompany description Core-Mark continues to grow as the industry leader in fresh and broadline solutions for the convenience retail industry.
