Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Job Summary: Palisades Tahoe is looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician to assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modernization and installation of the complex control, motor, drive and electrical systems on our ski lifts, tramways, snowmaking systems and overall electrical infrastructure.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Hourly:The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:Work under supervision/direction of the more senior members of the teamAssist in troubleshooting of the resorts electrical and control systemsProvide support during the installation and testing of new electrical and control systemsProvide support to the more senior level team members as required and directed.Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and testing on systems as directedBecome familiar with the electrical/control systems on the primary ski lifts and snowmaking systems at the resortBecome familiar with the various PLC systems, Drives Systems and overall electrical systems in use at the resort.Become familiar with the various communication systems in use at the resort including the "Resort Wide Monitor System"Obtain knowledge/skill in the various programming packages used to support the resort's electrical systems (PLC Programming, HMI Programming, Drive Programming, CAD programs)Competencies and Job Requirements: Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLC Systems, motor control, AC and DC Digital Drive systemsFamiliar with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail)Demonstrated aptitude and desire to learn high level electrical control, PLC's and motor drive systems.Must have a valid driver's licenseMust be capable of driving and riding on: Snowmobiles (Training Provided), All Terrain Vehicles such as Side by Side & Four-wheeler (Training Provided)Must have own general electrical tools and multi-meter (Company tool allowance available). Specialized tools will be provided.Intermediate or better skiing ability preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of walking or standing 90 % or more of a normal 8-hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Must be capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.Working Conditions:Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to outside weather conditions.
