This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about leading teams to deliver high-quality mechanical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise all aspects of pipefitting installations across diverse systems—from basic industrial setups to complex multi-system builds.Ensure proper work methods, sequencing, and efficient progress throughout the project lifecycle.Support the implementation of the company’s safety program.Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring strict adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.Ensure availability of plans, blueprints, materials, and tools.Coordinate timely acquisition of stock and supplies from designated locations.Provide clear instructions and leadership to pipefitting crews.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures, policies, and directives.Ensure team members follow instructions and meet project deadlines.Monitor work in progress and upon completion to ensure alignment with project specifications, methods, and deadlines.Uphold high standards of workmanship and compliance.Act as a key liaison between field teams and project leadership.Communicate emergent issues, obtain decisions from supervisors, and provide timely updates on work status, progress, and delays.QualificationsProven experience as a Pipefitting Superintendent in commercial construction.Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction sequencing.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Commitment to safety and quality standards.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holiday pay.Opportunities for professional development and certification assistance.Equal Employment Opportunity:Upchurch Companies provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
