This role requires a high level of technical expertise, independence, and leadership in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.As a Master Tech, you will serve as a senior field resource, capable of handling the most complex service calls, supporting junior technicians, and representing Upchurch Services with professionalism and customer focus.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on advanced HVAC systems including:VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) SystemsChillersBoilersMake-Up Air (MAU) UnitsRefrigeration SystemsDemonstrate a working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and controls.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced technicians.Participate in on-call rotation as required.Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.Maintain accurate service documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner.Deliver excellent customer service and build long-term client relationships.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 7+ years as a commercial HVAC Service Technician, with demonstrated mastery of advanced systems.Certifications:Valid EPA Certification (Universal preferred)Journeyman or Master HVAC License (where applicable)Skills:Proven expertise in VRF, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, and MAUs.Basic understanding of BAS/controls integration.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.Other Requirements:Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holiday pay.Opportunities for professional development and certification assistance.Equal Employment Opportunity:Upchurch Companies provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
