Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to provide consultation for the facility.  The Registered Respiratory Therapist shall provide the services of a qualified therapeutic respiratory technician.  The sole responsibility of the Registered Respiratory Therapist shall be to provide guidance and counsel to the facilities respiratory services program. Essential Job Functions: Provide consultation to the administration and staff regarding planning, policy, development and priority setting based on initial and on-going evaluations of the respiratory service needsProvide respiratory therapy consultation to any resident in the facility in accordance with physician’s ordersCounsel the patient, staff and family with regards to the patient’s respiratory therapy needsMake appropriate referrals for continuing respiratory careReview sanitation in accordance with current standards Other Job Functions: Travel to all facility locations as requiredAttend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as requiredPerform additional duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the State of Texas, requiredCurrent BLS certification, requiredBachelor’s Degree, preferred.3+ years’ experience, requiredCritical Care or ER experience, preferredExperience writing policies and procedures, preferred Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communicationPennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), & Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.
