Description DevOps Engineer – Missile Warning SystemMission: Defend the U.S. with Innovative Missile Defense SolutionsJoin Leidos in a critical role supporting national defense through cutting-edge missile warning and defense technologies. We're seeking a talented engineer to contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of mission-critical software at Cheyenne Mountain and Peterson SFB, CO. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact systems that integrate data fusion, predictive analytics, and decision support tools.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain software for missile defense systemsSupport CI/CD automation through scripting and pipeline optimization (Jenkins, Bamboo)Participate in agile sprint and increment testing to validate system functionalityCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to document and communicate technical solutionsIntegrate and execute testing plans across the software development lifecycleEngage in agile ceremonies (scrum, retrospectives, planning) to provide feedback and guide team directionBuild and deploy solutions aligned with industry standards and best practicesCoordinate with Systems Engineering to schedule and demonstrate capabilities to customersPartner with third-party contractors and stakeholders to manage regression testing and deployment timelinesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience (additional certifications or experience may substitute for education).U.S. Citizen; Currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.Proficiency in C++ and PythonExperience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and agile platforms (Jira)Skilled in developing system tools and dashboardsExceptional attention to detail and interpersonal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks effectivelyPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in associated fieldExperience with missile warning and defense systemsKnowledge of missile warning message typesProven abilities with agile software development processes aligned with U.S. Government standardsEIO 2024At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better.
