This role focuses heavily on industrial electrical systems including medium-to-high voltage substations, switchgear, Power Logic systems, variable frequency drives, and hazardous location electrical equipment. You'll work in a Reliability Maintenance environment supporting both manufacturing operations and utility systems, ensuring all work complies with company standards and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM). Your expertise will be essential in keeping our plants, utility systems, buildings, and equipment operating safely and efficiently. What your day-to-day will look likePerform troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and proactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipmentConduct preventive maintenance on medium-to-high voltage substations, motors, explosion-proof systems, generators, and building control systemsInspect, analyze, and plan major equipment repairs using root cause failure analysisMonitor equipment conditions closely and perform maintenance activities according to procedures and cGMP standardsProvide customer training on system implementation and compliance requirementsServe as a maintenance advisor on engineering projects including process design, material selection, and problem-solvingWork with industrial 3-phase systems, medium voltage distribution, and control systems in hazardous classified locationsParticipate in multi-craft work activities and collaborate across teamsRespond to priority calls and make critical maintenance decisionsWork in various conditions including confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and elevated platforms Required QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED plus associate degree or relevant trade school equivalencyState of Michigan Electrical Journeyman's License OR completion of journeyman programSelf-starter with ability to work independentlyExcellent computer skills (Microsoft systems)Excellent communication skillsStrong work ethic and ambition for excellenceAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in challenging physical conditions • Willingness to work variable shifts and be available for 24-hour on-call duties • Commitment to proper use of Personal Protective Equipment and safety procedures Preferred Qualifications3+ years of practical working experience as a journeyman electrician in industrial/commercial electrical equipment serviceBlueprint reading skillsElectrical diagram reading proficiencyMedium voltage experienceKnowledge of Power Logic systemsExperience with NEC standards and hazardous location classificationsBackground in manufacturing or utilities environment Location: OnsiteWork Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm#EjobsLocation:On-site –Kalamazoo, MIIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet all the requirements.  We’re interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the table!Personalized benefits that support personal well-being and growth:JLL recognizes the impact that the workplace can have on your wellness, so we offer a supportive culture and comprehensive benefits package that prioritizes mental, physical and emotional health.
