Senior Financial Analyst | The Shyft Group, Inc. | Bristol, IN (Main) Regular Employee | Salary Exempt What you’ll do: The Senior Financial Analyst position is responsible for supporting the finance department with a broad range of financial planning including analyzing and reporting results of financial data for company’s respective business units and the company against plan, forecast, budgets, and trends to explain financial results. Core Responsibilities: Prepare assigned month end journal entries, support monthly, quarterly, and annual balancing of books and monthly account reviewsPrepare financial statements and related reports such as balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements, budgets, and variance analysis. Provide reports to the Business Unit Leadership team.Ensure accuracy of prepared financial statements to consolidation software; recommend reports/tools for process improvementsAnalyze financial data for business efficiencies and verify accuracyReview and consolidate daily and weekly KPI reports for management distributionAssist in developing statistical and written reports for managementWork with budget center managers to develop and support their respective cost center expensesAssist in the development of a financial plan and forecastReview budget proposals and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification of proposed budgetsReview, evaluate, and suggest accounting systems, policies, and proceduresAssist with special projects, as requestedOther tasks as assigned What you need to be successful: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience, primarily in a manufacturing environment preferredUnderstanding of the fundamentals of government procurement regulations that affect accounting systemsWorking knowledge of forecasting, financial reports, data collection, data analysis, and evaluationDemonstrated ability to interpret economic conditions and anticipate the impact on the organizationStrong and consistent attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to stay on taskInnovative team playerIntermediate computer skills are required, proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Power BI, OneStream or Hyperion, preferredCommitment to excellence and high standardsProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines and able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentSound judgment with the ability to make timely decisionsVersatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing prioritiesWilling to improve self / area / company (including pursing additional training, if needed)Capable of comprehensive listening (understanding the message(s) that is being communicated)Willing to travel, as neededStrong: * Attention to detail * Communication skills, verbal and written * Interpersonal skills * Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Why The Shyft Group?
