This job is offering $25-$36/hr Depending On Experience.If you are skilled with your hands and passionate about serving customers right, you will be an excellent fit as a truck mechanic at our local shop that prides itself on outstanding customer service, accurate workmanship, and willing up for hard work. We are looking for the right candidate who will help us achieve our goal of company growth. As a member of our team, you will get to interact with customers to figure out what they need, put your mechanical skills to use and repair trucks and various types of trailers. This is an exceptional position for someone with a positive attitude, excellent technical skills, and the desire to succeed. You will work directly with our Shop Foreman, Service Writers, Parts Manager, and the Fleet Maintenance Manager.Job Information:Senior Technician can Start between $32-$36/hr. Entry to Junior Level Techs start at $25-$28/hrPerform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle runningInspect various parts of trucks and trailers, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectivelyUse different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists, and jacks, to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautionsDiagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises such as motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts to determine how to address problemsTest drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly and to find issues to determine what the solution will beReplace parts, bearings, and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systemsMeasure vehicle emissions to ensure they are in the proper limitsEnsure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensionsJob Requirements:Must own and maintain basic hand toolsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust have basic mechanic abilities and knowledge of basic toolsMust be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularlyExcellent customer service skills, the ability to communicate professional with clients and support staffMust be comfortable with working in awkward positions or cramped spacesMust be willing to learn our systems and practicesWe are willing to train the right individual who is mechanically inclinedPreferred Technical certification or degreeExperience working with diagnostic computersPrevious experience as a mechanicBasic knowledge of Microsoft OfficeTo Apply: Apply Now or call Dominique @ 205-775-7537
