Corning Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Wound Care Nurse in Corning, NY. Duties Include:Responsible for all open wounds in the facility- including cleaning and dressingResponsible for completing admission paperworkProviding advice & support to the Residents and their familiesMonitoring Residents and administering medication and treatmentsDocumenting Resident care services by charting in Resident & dept. recordsProtecting Residents & staff by adhering to infection-control policies & protocolsResolving Resident problems & needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategiesAssuring quality of care by adhering to Facility philosophies & standards of careMaintaining Resident confidence by keeping information confidentialTracking of infection controlMonitoring and reporting, including monthly reportsRequirements:Current NYS State LPN LicenseLong-Term Care Experience PreferredMust be wound and ostomy certifiedSolid computer skills; working knowledge of MS OfficeExcellent communication skillsFriendly and a team worker About us:Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located in Corning, New York, and is designed for individuals with skilled nursing needs, postoperative recuperation, or complex medical care demands, as well as chronically-ill individuals who can no longer live independently.
