Respiratory Therapist

Holliswood Center is hiring a Respiratory Therapist in Hollis, NY. Duties Include:Interviewing & examining Residents regarding their respiratory ailmentsDiagnosing respiratory ailments & testing Resident lung capacitiesExamining test results and identifying issuesRemoving mucus and other fluids from the Resident’s lungsClearing Residents’ airways of physical obstructionsEducating Residents on lung health and disease preventionInstructing Residents on the proper use of the equipment & or respiratory care procedures.Providing emergency resuscitation in cases of ceased breathingDetermining Resident treatment plans with supervising physicianComply with all required safety and infection control procedures.Demonstrate respect for the Resident's beliefs and property.Requirements Include:Graduate of an accredited program for respiratory therapy.Respiratory care experience preferred.Current and valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skill About us:Holliswood Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a 314-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in New York’s beautiful Hollis neighborhood.
