Description Leidos currently has an opening for a Cyber System Security Officer who holds a Top Secret clearance to work with our customer at Eglin AFB, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Joint Staff J6 Joint Assessment Division (JAD) conduct system of systems interoperability assessments as well as Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) data centricity assessments. The candidate will participate as a member of an integrated team solving technical problems during installation and operation of computer and information security programs at JAD garrison and deployed environments; the candidate will also conduct services to minimize vulnerability and ensure network access.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage compliance systems including Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), non-SCCM, and Tempest ControlIdentify alternative information security strategies to address organizational security objectiveTrack audit findings and recommendations to ensure that appropriate mitigation actions are takenFamiliar with eMASS, NIST 800-53 controls and ATO process.Collect and maintain data needed to meet system cybersecurity reporting.Ensure that security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required.Ensure that inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated for the network environment.Ensure that requirements are integrated into the continuity planning for that system and/or organization(s).Participate in security risk assessment during the Security Assessment and Authorization process.Provide system-related input on cybersecurity requirements to be included in statements of work and other appropriate procurement documents.ICD-503, JSIG, NIST, FIPS, CNSSI 1253, Nessus, ACAS, A&AAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport accreditation for JAD designed networks —e.g., Azure cloud based IL-4, IL-6, & IL-7 NetworksEvaluate threats and vulnerability to information systems to ascertain the need for additional safeguardsAuthor, Review and Approve information system security assessment plans, which is comprised of the SSP, the SCTM, and the security control assessment procedures.Develop and sustain Risk Management Framework Packages in EMASS.Prepare the final Security Assessment Report (SAR) which includes assessment results and findings, at the conclusion of each security assessment activity.Initiate a POA&M with identified weakness and suspense dates for each information system.Assess proposed changes to information systems, their environment of operation, and mission needs that could affect system authorization.Provide purposeful security architecting, design, development, and configuration of information systems.Employ best practices when implementing security requirements for information systems including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure cloud techniques.Maintain JAD cyber security related documentation —e.g., security compliance assessment protocol, configuration management policy and plan, incident response/contingency policy, system/service acquisition, security assessment/authorization planMonitor Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scansAuthorize NIPRNET and SIPRNET accountsBasic QualificationsBS degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or AA and 7 years of prior relevant experienceSecret Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain TS ClearanceCurrent baseline certification meeting IAM-IICapability to lift 40 lbs.Professional writing and oral presentation skills, MS Office proficiencyPreferred QualificationsTS ClearanceAt Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better.
