The Sanitation Team Leader oversees all sanitation operations for plant equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (OSHA, USDA, FDA, EPA) while leading a team responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, disassembling, and reassembling equipment. The Team Leader supports continuous improvement initiatives and ensures sanitation resources are available to meet production goals. This onsite position reports to the Macomb Plant Manager.Shift Details:3rd Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 PM – 3 AM; occasional Saturdays based on business needs.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise sanitation team to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goalsEnsure compliance with sanitation procedures and regulatory standardsTrain and develop team members on cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocolsMonitor sanitation performance and support process improvementsEnforce plant rules and safety programs (e.g., PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space)Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching for improvementMaintain documentation and support sanitation auditsMust Haves:High school diploma or GED2+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing or food processingAbility to work weekends and 3rd shiftStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)Travel: MinimalBonus Experience:Bachelor's degree in related fieldSAP experienceKnowledge of GMPs, sanitation procedures, and plant equipmentFood industry manufacturing experienceFamiliarity with Listeria prevention and control strategiesPhysical Requirements:This role requires regular talking, hearing, standing, and walking, and may lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to sit, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must tolerate varying temperatures and noisy environments. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.Compensation: Pay Range:$59,000-$78,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
