Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 10 months of Intensive Care Unit experience. • Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a California license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. • 6 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years Required Skills/Experience: Recent ICU experience. Community Hospital Experience. Skills: IV therapy, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, GI surgery, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, IV insulin protocols. Preferred Skills/Experience: High acuity ICU experience. Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Chemotherapy Administration, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID. Cert: ACLS, BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only. Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: Free Parking. Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Open to accommodating block schedule: Per manager discretion. Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Floating Requirements: DSU. Travelers’ refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Details: • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined. 7 days maximum time off.
