This role combines executive communications strategy with comprehensive media relations expertise to create integrated campaigns that elevate leadership visibility, drive stakeholder confidence, and enhance brand awareness across investors, policymakers, healthcare leaders, and business communities. You'll serve as both the strategic communications partner to our executives and our chief storyteller with journalists and the financial community, translating complex business strategies into compelling narratives that build credibility and drive business results through earned media and executive thought leadership.Key Strategic Areas:Executive Communications & Thought LeadershipOwn comprehensive CEO and C-suite communications strategy, from messaging frameworks to content developmentDevelop executive-authored content including speeches, bylined articles, and thought leadership pieces that advance business objectivesCreate audience-specific messaging for financial community, health systems, policymakers, and business elitesManage executive social media strategy and digital presence initiativesMedia Relations & Financial StorytellingBuild and maintain journalist relationships while serving as primary media contact for healthcare, education, business and financial mattersExecute media strategies for major announcements that drive brand awareness and stakeholder confidenceLead financial communications including earnings messaging and communicationsCoordinate with investor relations to ensure consistent narrative across all financial communicationsTeam Leadership & Strategic ManagementLead and develop team including Senior Manager of Executive Communications and Manager of Media RelationsProvide strategic oversight and coaching to create meaningful development opportunities and career growthServe as strategic counselor to corporate affairs leadership on executive positioning and media strategyManage and direct agency partner relationships, setting clear expectations and driving strategic directionSupport crisis communications for executive and business mattersSkills Required:Exceptional strategic communications expertise with deep understanding of executive positioning and media relationsOutstanding writing and editing skills with ability to craft compelling executive content and business narrativesStrong financial acumen combined with business storytelling expertise for earnings and investor communicationsProven media relations experience with established journalist relationships and spokesperson capabilitiesStrong people leadership and team development skills with proven ability to manage, coach, and grow direct reports while creating high-performing teamsExecutive advisory skills with ability to counsel corporate affairs leadership on integrated communications strategyAgency and vendor management expertise with ability to lead external partner relationships, set strategic direction, and hold partners accountable to deliverables and timelinesCrisis communications expertise with experience managing executive reputation and media issuesStrategic business acumen with commitment to staying current on executive communications trends and media landscape QualificationsBachelor's Degree in communications, media relations, journalism Required or a related field Required10 years of experience in related positions, including 5 years minimum management experience. RequiredExperience working with third party agencies PreferredWell-developed writing and journalistic skills, press and external relations.Strong management, coaching and leadership skills.Strong collaboration skills.Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Must be able to collaborate with a variety of colleagues across the organization.Strong organizational, logistical and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality.Additional InformationIn support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $180000.61 and $200000.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
