This position is responsible for setting up and tearing down meeting and banquet rooms at the Hershey Country Club. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Setting up and tearing down meeting and banquet rooms including tables, chairs, meeting equipment, lectern, etc. Vacuuming and maintaining overall cleanliness of function rooms Provide assistance to clients with moving boxes and supplies to meeting rooms Vacuuming carpets and dusting chairs in the function rooms during set up Setting up outside functions, including tables and chairs for meals and golf functions Setting up exhibit tables and other equipment required per the client's requests Maintaining neat and clean storerooms Taking equipment to maintenance for necessary repairs Reporting areas or items that need attention to the manager on duty Setting up basic audio/visual equipment when required Cleaning and refreshing meeting rooms during the meeting breaks Picking up and returning borrowed equipment from other divisions Maintaining clean and organized storage areas with tables, chairs, and Audio Visual aids. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver’s license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with audio/visual equipment preferred Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities Ability to communicate and follow instructions verbally and in writing Ability to work safely and follow safety procedures Embody our company's values, Selfless Spirit of Service, Devoted to our Legacy, Respectful of Others, Team Focused. Must have guest-oriented attitude and ability to work well with others Job Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Normal shifts include 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m. Weekends, holidays, and some overtime required. Shifts may vary according to business needs. Must be able to work nights Physical conditions include considerable walking and bending, ability to lift 50 lbs., and proper use of chemicals. Proper footwear must be provided by employee. Will also be required to perform these duties outdoors in a golf course environment This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
