Department Manager, Electrical Engineering (NY)

Advantage Engineering Associates, PC is seeking a Department Manager to lead our Electrical Engineering team, specializing in Facility Design, as part of our MEP and Communications Design Group. This position is based in our New York City office and offers a hybrid work schedule.The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and support the design and development of electrical systems for transportation and transit facilities.Experience working with agencies like PANYNJ and MTA is preferred.Requirements:Experience with building power systems designExperience with fire alarm designDemonstrate proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD, Proficiency in Revit is preferredStrong knowledge of National Electrical Code and Fire Alarm codesCommitted to working efficiently to complete tasks under strict schedule constraintsThe ability to work independently or within a team environmentAbility to perform research to resolve engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and make sound recommendationsKnowledge of MTA and PANYNJ standards is preferredPrevious experience leading a team of electrical engineers is preferredQualifications:Have a minimum of 15 years of experience with design of transportation facilitiesBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (from an ABET accredited school required)NY PE license is requiredIf you are a highly motivated self-starter, we can offer you the challenge, responsibility and compensation you deserve.
