Behavioral Health Technician - Adolescent UnitSalary Range: $24.04 - $28.85/hour, based on relevant years of experienceLocation: Larimer county, ColoradoStatus: Full-time, 40 hours per weekHours: Thursday-Saturday 7AM-7:30PM and every other Wednesday 7AM-3:30PM Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential.  Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.   Role Overview: Responsible for providing support and direct care for clients in our inpatient adolescent programs. Provide client intervention and milieu management services, working closely with our medical/clinical staff to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment in our 24/7 facilities. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to help support clients in their treatment plan goals, clinical and medical treatment services, and therapeutic progress. The role will work with and advocate for diverse and often marginalized populations daily to provide interventions, support, and resources, and to ensure that the appropriate services are offered in an inclusive and equitable manner.  Essential Duties: Provide behavioral health intervention and milieu management on the unit to maintain patient and staff safety.Help clients complete intake paperwork and get oriented to rules/activities of the unit.Complete regular client documentation in the Electronic Health Record System.Resolve conflicts between clients and de-escalate clients as needed.Help complete client discharge planning and schedule follow-up appointments for clients.Create and maintain a trauma-informed and therapeutic environment for every client.Facilitate therapeutic activity groups on the units.Respond and intervene in emergency codes called. Required:Bachelor’s degree in health/human services requiredExperience working with youth, preferably ages 12-17 years oldAt least one year of experience working in behavioral health setting or programs requiredHighly Desired:Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in Colorado preferredTrauma Informed Care experienceBilingual/bi-cultural preferred Additional Requirement – Longview CampusThis position is subject to a mandatory background check through the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) TRAILS database, which reviews for any substantiated cases of child abuse or neglect. This requirement applies to all staff working at our Longview campus, regardless of direct contact with adolescents, due to the fact that the facility provides adolescent treatment services. As such, completion of this background check is required for employment at this location.Longview Campus is the new Acute Care Behavioral Health facility which serves Larimer County residents in need of urgent help with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
